WELCOME ! This blog is dedicated to the disabled and related issues. I myself am NOT disabled (per se; ie I am not handicapped or amputated etc, albeit I do live with chronic pain, which is a disability of sorts but not compared to the more significant issues I have in mind for this blog such as not having legs or arms, or deaf, or blind, etc) but try to be a conscientious person, and various events have recently prompted me to add this blog to my list of blogs dedicated to issues requiring citizenship care, kindness, conscientiousness, & basic decency. I do what I do because I am a Christian, not because I am perfect. I continue to try to be a better person, as I continue to grow in faith and action. Stay tuned here for more information and periodic posts regarding disability issues. I begin this blog as the "Global Access" conference begins in Calabasas (Westlake VIllage, 1000 Oaks) this week. I was there on Sunday when the world-famous Joni spoke ...and she is one of the hosts of this conference (her headquarters is in that area as well). Joni is a perfect spokesperson and leader for disability issues...also a Christian...she often integrates issues of faith, suffering, & disabilities in an inspirational manner! Let us keep the disabled in our thoughts & prayers !
